Dental Veneers For a Beautiful Smile
Dental veneers are a great solution to correct minor flaws and imperfections in your smile. Veneers can help you avoid braces and even correct what braces can not correct such as color and tooth shape. From discolored teeth or fillings to minor chips, gaps, and crooked teeth, veneers may be the perfect cosmetic solution for you.
Dental veneers are made up of composite or porcelain. Veneers are outstanding solutions for worn tooth enamel, uneven tooth alignment, abnormal spacing, chips and cracks. Patients with dental veneers are incredibly satisfied with their results and notice the benefits of their new smile immediately.

Teeth Whitening, or bleaching, cannot solve all stained teeth problems. That is why our cosmetic dentists offer Dental Veneers. If a tooth stain is formed during the formation stages of a tooth when a child is young, that stain cannot be removed with simple bleaching.
When a patient enters our office to consult our gentle dentists on dental veneers, the dentist considers many things when advising him or her. Our dentists know how unappealing it is to have cracked teeth, gaps in between teeth, stained teeth, or too small of teeth because of large gums. Their job is to glean as much information as they can from you so that they can assist you in getting the smile of your dreams. Our dentists takes your personal desires and preferences into account when planning your smile makeover with you.
If you are interested using dental veneers in proceeding with your smile makeover, there are several things you, as the patient, should be aware of. Dental veneers are capable of fixing a myriad of problems. They are wonderful at replacing old fillings that have begun to look grungy. While replacing those old fillings with new fillings may seem to be less invasive and more cost-effective now, in the long run, consistently replacing those fillings will cost you more money. More so, new fillings have a way of picking up stains along the restoration/tooth interface, causing them to discolor and breakdown as well. Cosmetic dental veneers are bonded to your teeth, and they do not discolor, nor fade. They are almost identical to natural teeth in size, shape, color, and translucency, so your teeth with look natural and spectacular once the procedure is finished. If you think you might be a candidate for this procedure and you wish to get cosmetic veneers to replace your stained front teeth fillings, call our office today
How much do veneers cost?
The expense depends on many factors including the material used to make your veneers, the volume of teeth requiring veneers, and the dental insurance you may have. Most dental insurance does not cover cosmetic dentistry. Porcelain Veneers around $1100 per tooth. Porcelain veneers are of higher quality and longevity and cost more than indirect or direct composite resin veneers. In a consult with your dentist, you will be provided an estimate for your new smile, and will experience no surprise fees along the way.
Consultation and Treatment Planning
To determine whether you are a good candidate for this treatment, our Lincoln dentist will schedule a preliminary consultation with you. At the preliminary consultation, you will discuss and evaluate an available treatment method.
Treatment involving tooth preparation is irreversible; therefore, it is important that your dentist considers any alternatives that offer similar results. If you and your dentist determine that veneers are the best option, the next step involves an intensive review of treatment details including how teeth are prepared and what will be necessary for the veneers to look and fit correctly.

How long does it take to get veneers?
Veneers typically take two appointments after the preliminary consult. At your first appointment, an impression will be taken which will be used to make your temporary veneers. Next, your teeth will be prepared for your new veneers. As opposed to crowns, veneers are an extremely thin porcelain material meaning the dentist does not have to remove much of your natural tooth structure. Once the doctor has prepared your teeth, another impression will be taken and will be sent to the dental lab where highly trained technicians will fabricate your permanent veneers. Don’t worry, while you wait for your veneers to be made (usually about two weeks), temporary veneers will be placed. At your second appointment, after the permanent veneers have arrived, your temporary veneers will be carefully removed, and the new, permanent veneers will be cemented on.
