For a Beautiful Smile
Dental veneers are a great solution to correct minor flaws and imperfections in your smile. Veneers can help you avoid braces and even correct what braces can not correct such as color and tooth shape. From discolored teeth or fillings to minor chips, gaps, and crooked teeth, veneers may be the perfect cosmetic solution for you.
Dental veneers are made up of composite or porcelain. Veneers are outstanding solutions for worn tooth enamel, uneven tooth alignment, abnormal spacing, chips and cracks. Patients with dental veneers are incredibly satisfied with their results and notice the benefits of their new smile immediately.
How much do veneers cost?
The expense depends on many factors including the material used to make your veneers, the volume of teeth requiring veneers, and the dental insurance you may have. Most dental insurance does not cover cosmetic dentistry. Porcelain veneers are of higher quality and longevity and cost more than indirect or direct composite resin veneers. In a consult with your dentist, you will be provided an estimate for your new smile, and will experience no surprise fees along the way.
Consultation and Treatment Planning
To determine whether you are a good candidate for this treatment, our Lincoln dentist will schedule a preliminary consultation with you. At the preliminary consultation you will discuss and evaluate an available treatment method.
Treatment involving tooth preparation is irreversible; therefore, it is important that your dentist considers any alternatives that offer similar results. If you and your dentist determine that veneers are the best option, the next step involves an intensive review of treatment details including how teeth are prepared and what will be necessary for the veneers to look and fit correctly.
By sharing your preferences for shape, length, width, and color, you can achieve the smile you’ve always dreamed of. At Coddington Dental, we will make sure that your treatment and results go above and beyond your expectations. It is crucial that your dentist understands your objectives when undergoing the procedure.
How long does it take to get veneers?
Veneers typically take two appointments after the preliminary consult. At your first appointment, an impression will be taken which will be used to make your temporary veneers. Next, your teeth will be prepared for your new veneers. As opposed to crowns, veneers are an extremely thin porcelain material meaning the dentist does not have to remove much of your natural tooth structure. Once the doctor has prepared your teeth, another impression will be taken and will be sent to the dental lab where highly trained technicians will fabricate your permanent veneers. Don’t worry, while you wait for your veneers to be made (usually about two weeks), temporary veneers will be placed. At your second appointment, after the permanent veneers have arrived, your temporary veneers will be carefully removed, and the new, permanent veneers will be cemented on.
